Have you ever dreamed of experiencing the thrill of being suspended in the void but never had the chance?
Valpolicella is a wonderful area: in addition to famous wines and important historic villas, it can give you the thrill of walking on a tibetan bridge over 50 m high.
Place to intersect with paths, the Tibetan bridge was built to favor the frequentation of mountain hikers and to relaunch tourism in this area between upper Valpolicella and Lessinia.
Comfortable walking shoes will be indispensable if you decide to leave for the thrill of emptiness under your feet!
The proposal for the day is divided into a challenging path, recommended for expert hikers, which leads to the bridge, crossing the Rio di Mondrago on the Valsorda at a height of 52 meters.
Malga Biancari is the recommended point of support, as it can be easily reached by car. Yes in the locality Girotto (after the village of San Rocco), where you can park in a large parking lot.
The hut has a semi-forested agricultural area alternating with large lawns. In addition, it is equipped with a picnic area, which you can use together with your family, in company or alone.
Here starts the 5.7 km ring path which, in about 2-3 hours, will allow you to cross the Tibetan bridge and enjoy the exciting "bird's eye" view that only height can offer , as well as exploring the woods and the humid gorge where the stream flows.
The circular route starts from Malga Biancari (592 m a.s.l.) and reaches the locality of Mulino del Cao (308 m.a.s.l.), to return to the starting point again after almost 6 km.
About 1.5 km from the start here is the suspension bridge, there waiting for you to continue the other part of the path!
After facing the bridge, the route climbs rapidly towards the caves of Campore and then descends towards Mulino del Cao, where there is also a refreshment point.
From here you return to Malga Biancari, after having overcome an altitude difference of almost 300 m in just under 2 km.
